July Flyin - EGKK-LOWI 29th July 2017

Postby Roger Eve » Thu Jul 06, 2017 11:53 am

Hello Fellow Noble Members!

I am very sorry to say that we need to change the date of the July Flyin from the 15th to the 29th July starting at 2100 Zulu/GMT. The reason is a clash with the Board of Directors meeting. I am sorry for any inconvenience. I will do my best to ensure that this doesn't happen again.

Best Wishes

Roger

Very sorry Andrew it wasn't an easy decision.
With a 10pm start in the U.K. and only about 2 hours flying time, it should be finished by soon after midnight. So unless you have to start very early in the morning you may not need the day off afterwards.

So where are we going!..
EGKK (Gatwick, UK) to LOWI (Innsbruck, Austria)
Image
507 Miles
1hr 27mins flying time (+connection time)

Innsbruk provides a very exciting approach down through the mountains and depending on the wind; one of the approaches actually flies down the mountain to the runway. Even if you don't have payware scenery (picture below), the default scenery is still very good.

This event will be on JoinFS - make sure you update to the latest version before joining (http://pmem.uk/joinfs/)
Instructions on how to join have been emailed out in the event package.
This event is a great introduction for those members that have not been to a Noble Flyin' before. It's only 2 hrs of your time, provides great camaraderie, meet some other Noble Pilots on Teamspeak and generally have a great time in this great hobby of ours.
If you haven't joined an event before, take this opportunity..

Beech Baron: Uh, ATC, verify you want me to taxi in front of the 747.
ATC: Yeah, it's OK. He's not hungry.

Just a gentle reminder that the July Flyin is now just one week away.

Make sure you have any Haddon scenery you might want and have read Ben's post on the approach tutorial.

I look forward to seeing lots of you on the day, and I hope you can make it too Tony, I'm sure we can cope with a bit of coughing
