Hi guys
I have just been checking out the Vatsim Pilot training and thought ok this sounds like me how do I go about it. When I then checked to see if Noble Air was an ATO I was surprised to find that we are not. Does this mean that to go for my P1 etc I have to do it through another VA who is an ATO?
I actually thought that Noble had been made an ATO but when you check the list we are not there we are only listed as
Noble Air Virtual Airlines > Oceania - Noble Air caters for all types of flying including set Assigned Airline Flights, Simulated Charter Flights, Challenge Flights and Air Races. Noble Air exists in all 4 corners of the globe.

Thanks for that Ed.
Ok I guess the next question is are we going to be? If not how do we go about doing our training etc to get qualified?

Re: ATO with Vatsim
Geoff,
we are planning for it but not in the near future, web accesses and records are the big problem for us at this stage as we have to allow for non Noble members to have access to the site. You can carry out you exam with other ATO's and continue with you training with Ray or any other senior VATSIM pilot.
My first suggestion to any pilot wishing to do these exams is to download the VATSIM code of conduct and thoroughly understand those before attempting any of the ATO exams.
There are a number of random questions from the COC that are in the ATO exams.

Re: ATO with Vatsim
Are you certain Tony about the access to non-members? vQantas are an ATO where you are required to join and maintain minimum flight hours to remain on the program.
I understand that when the ATO status was first announced this was going to be the case, but it either has not been enforced or changed.

Not 100% positive but that is still the criteria, according to the rules and Regulations.
